Acquisition system down? DOJ says no idea when it will be back up

Been having issues with it and today the DOJ told us it's down and they have no timeframe as to when it will be up and that there is nothing we can do. If asked if they are talking about hours, days or weeks they said they do not know.

Any pawn shops having issues? Get a different answer? How are you taking pawn units?

Great. How are we supposed to take in consignments? I have someone bringing 6 guns in tomorrow.

We had issues this am. It was going absurdly slow, but I got my DROS submitted. Can we sue on the basis that when the DOJ can't maintain their own website and we can't pick up, dros, pawn, buy, consign firearms and that they are violating our rights while this system is down? Being that we can not do anything firearms related and there is no system in place for us to do anything once the system crashes.....

DROS is working but when submitting Acquisitions when you hit Submit after you print it says system error and it doesn't log in the acquisition.

I told my wife to print the page and have them thumbprint and file it away. When the system works again we'll enter it then.

We had someone who drove from San Diego for some Colts, 4 hours out of his day between driving both ways. We couldn't just tell him oh sorry come back another day the CA system is down and I can't put in their system. Guy waited over an hour as it was while we called the DES system.

The DROS IT guy just gave notice. It'll probably infect all the firearm systems shortly. With the bureaucracy in full force, we could be in a pickle for a long time. . . . . . .

Wait! They told us the DES system never crashes so this should never be a problem though.

They should have a backup system. It could be called NICS...

Wait...never mind. That would be proof that it's possible for a goobermint system to be quick and efficient and would destroy their argument for the 10 day wait.
