what do you do with off-roster inventory?

    FFL's:

I suppose that pawnshops and such are more likely to get off-roster stuff they need to do something with. I'm curious what CA FFL's do with the off-roster stuff they acquire that they can't sell to the public.

Do you try to sell it on gunbroker or other sites? Send it to an out-of-state FFL to sell there?

    Thoughts?

Hard to get? I may have created the wrong impression...I was talking about an FFL in CA who comes into possession of off-roster items they can't sell within CA (except to a dealer).

So, perhaps you sell them on gun broker? Would it help to have one or more FFL's in other states to help sell off-roster stuff for CAL FFL's?

You mean like my MADE IN THE USA Glock or my Ruger LC380 with the made for CA LCI and magazine disconnect that isn't on the roster? I will sell them out-of-state when I get around to it.

Double check Halifax the LC380s are back on the roster.

To the OP we slang them on gunbroker, or sometimes we put them in our showcases with a big pink LEO only tag on them. We don't charge our local police officers any interstate transfer fees when they come in to DROS, so we get quite a few officers in here who sometimes pick up a non-roster gun every so often. Sometimes we keep one and load it up for shop use too. But mostly. we gunbroker stuff. My bro in law owns a shop in Arizona too, and he's told me we can send some non roster stuff over there, but I have yet to take him up on his offer.

The LC380 was placed back on the roster with a different SKU # and the old one was placed on the removed list.

Any chance one might take advantage of "bro in law" and send him a couple of Off Roster dust collectors to dispose of???

We don't stock common found off list semi autos because we can never compete with the large online resellers who sell for cheaper than we buy them for.

How else does an FFL come into possession of off roster if not ordered unless someone comes in to sell it and it is off roster. Do consignment and resell it in CA.

pawnshops get them all the time. Like half the stuff we have in pawn isn't on the roster.

So if I was looking for an M&P 45c, would a pawnshop be an appropriate place to look?

Can't seem to find any in the for sale area....
