Sig P220 Stainless, which model number is on roster?

Hi,

Is the P220 Stainless on roster, and is there a specific model number I should look for?

The roster description for the P220 Stainless is incredibly vague, and although I've read that it's on roster, my LGS is unable to give a definitive answer if it's transferable.
"P220 (Stainless) / Stainless Steel Pistol 4.4" .45 ACP 1/1/2016"

It's in stock at a few online stores with model numbers:
220RM-45-SSS
220M-45-SSS

However, my LGS googled for "p220 stainless california" and found a single website listing 220-45-SSS-CA and concluded they can't transfer unless it has the "CA" designation.

As far as I know, there is no 220-45-SSS-CA, unless that has been changed from what it used to be. It might be that Sig is listing it as that model now to keep it separate from other versions. The model number used to be just 220-45-SSS. I have, in the past, ordered and transferred that specific model and it never had a "CA" in the model, but things do change. I am not sure that they would be allowed to change the model number with the CA DOJ.

You might want to check with Sig. Realize that the this model is NOT advertised by Sig and is basically a hidden model for CA FFLs.

You could also ask the CA DOJ to see what actual model is being listed. They don't give all of the information on the web page or on the DES.
