Current Processing of Off List Stripped Lower?

Looking at an AR10 stripped lower, not named.

Best way to process? Do I have to attach BB? I don't think so but double checking.

How to describe / check off on the 4473 / DROS entries?

THANKS for any help. My first time to consider this.

P.S. I DID try to do a search, lots of bits of data but nothing specific to my questions.

    No BB needed
4473 and A&D book - gets logged as a receiver
DROS as long gun / Under "receiver only" use "yes"

So I can process and turn over to the buyer as receiver only without having to add BB? Sweet. Prudent to note in the notes sections of the DROS and 4473 that it was a "stripped" receiver to cover myself?

      THANKS

in the DES you will choose receiver anyway and on the 4473 will show as other and receiver. Law pertains to centerfire semi-auto in which a receiver is neither, although you have to say so in the DES.

Do you have to do a safe handling demo or no now?

It may be wise to advise your customer as to what the laws will be once the receiver is built into a semi-auto centerfire rifle though. No need to have a good person catch a case just because they didn't know the laws. We tell all our customers, and even have them read and sign our stores customer agreement page when purchasing any firearm to double check about CA laws before making any changes to their firearm. Case and point somebody to buys an old used handgun and picks up a threaded barrel online and sticks that on there no knowing its an issue in CA. <<<<getting off topic.

Does the shipper need CFLC on these?

What CALIBER do I list it as since I don't know what upper/caliber the new owner will use?

You don't, the caliber field goes away when you choose receiver.
