Incorrect Address On DROS

I forgot to update the address when I swiped the drivers license. Is there a way to fix this?

You need to kill that DROS and re do it if you want to change it

If you need to report a handgun DROS correction or cancellation within the 10-day waiting period, you may do so with the computer with which you submitted the DROS.

If you need to report a handgun DROS correction or cancellation after the 10-day waiting period, you must fill out the DROS cancellation or correction form and mail it to the DOJ.

In the event of a correction, only one handgun data field may be modified. If additional fields require modification, the DROS must be canceled and a new DROS submitted. A handgun DROS must also be canceled if the transaction is not completed within 30 days. All correspondence and documentation must be retained for three years for inspection purposes.

This does not work as my issue is with not updating the address after I swiped the license. The Dros correction only applies to firearm information like make, model, serial number.

If I cancel and start a new Dros, does that mean I'm out $25 for the mistake?

Do not cancel the DROS, call the helpline tomorrow they will walk you through it

DOJ Response (04/08/2015 10:56 AM ): Please cross out the mistake and write in the correct address. Initial next to the correction and have the purchaser initial next to the correction as well. Please do this on each DROS copy.

That's been the DOJ's response even on the old DROS. Just hand correct it.
