DROS'ed 2 rifles same day- anomaly on paperwork

I bought two rifles, did two separate dros'es and I just noticed an anomaly; on the second DROS, filed 10-15 minutes after the first, in the upper right hand corner is a box that says "STATUS: PENDING" The first DROS has nothing in that area.

I'm thinking DOJ doesnt like multi purchases... Shall I get ready to sue?

you most likely just got the draft copy on the first DROS and the submitted DROS copy on the second. no issue there as long as the first DROS was submitted.

everyone would have to do 2 DROSes in that situation. each rifle is done on its own DROS. there is no limit to the number of rifle DROSes you can do at one time.

if done at the same time in the CADOJ-approved manner, the dealer is only charged one $25 DROS fee by the state. the dealer can charge the buyer whatever fees he wishes for multiple transfers (as long as it is not a state-defined PPT). there is no "max $10 additional fee" for multiple purchases.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

What $10 fee? Unless it's a PPT they can't charge extra for DROS.

sure they can. they just can't claim anything above the $25 is a state fee. for instance, Turners charges $5 dealer fee for each DROS.

they could even purposely close out each DROS and start a new one from scratch if they wanted, causing the buyer to spend $25 for each DROS. it would be a dick move, but not illegal.

roger that, i cant wait. as far as drosing both, what happened was that I Ppt'ed one rifle, finished that transaction and saw something else i wanted, bought that too since trap had free dros and no sales tax that day so second dros was free.

the question at hand wasnt "how can i save money drosing multiple firearms" btw, it was why does one of my 2 consecutive dros forms say "status: pending" and the other one doesnt. I thought it odd, and it might end up affecting other calguners if the cadoj infringers are playing games. i dros about 6 new guns a year on average- never been denied and ive never seen this "status pending"
                  on my paperwork before.

the way it works at my FFL is that he prints out a draft copy of the DROS, it has not been submitted yet. there is no status on this copy. once I confirm everything looks correct, he submits it and gets two copies printed out, these say status pending on them and list when the DROS was started, when the 10-days is up, and when the 30-days is up. I sign and fingerprint one copy that he keeps and he gives me the other copy.

at DROS pickup, he prints off two more copies, these say "status approved". I again sign one copy for his records and I get the other copy.

                    "status pending" is normal.
