I just had to renew my CDL in person. I set up the earliest appointment I could get within 20 miles of my house... Even then my appointment was just 3 days before the expiration date on my license.
I was issued an Interim Driver License and told my new CDL would be mailed to me within several weeks. I asked about the "several weeks" and was told that the implementation of AB60 for the issuance of driver licenses to non-citizens meant that CDL production was weeks behind.
I just tried to do a PPT of two lowers to a friend and was told my paper Interim Driver License did not validate my recently expired picture CDL. My county issued CCW hard card didn't cut it either.
So it appears I'm unable to buy or sell anything for a period of several weeks. Do I have any legitimate options other than running to the mailbox every day until who knows when?
