FFL for SAE in Citrus Heights

Not sure where to post my question....however....

Can anyone recommend an FFL in Citrus Heights that can do an SAE on a new off roster Taurus 44mag and a new off roster Rossi .357 revolver? If so, how much can I expect to pay for the SAE AND DROS?

I know, They're not high-end firearms, but I want them for my collection nonetheless :-)

    Thanks!

SAE is Single Action Exemption for revolvers. I like Rob at Golden State Tactical.....he's done a few transfers for me and he's a great guy. But I spoke to him about this and he's not equipped to gunsmith a revolver for the Single Action Exemption.

      Thanks though!

The problem is that the gun needs to be cracked open and a proper part needs to be installed for the transfer. Each part is a one off. This presents a problem with each gun as they EACH need their own modified part. Most FFLs (us included) do not have the parts to conduct the mod and the chance of harming the firearms finish go up exponentially with the bangin' needed to break the gun open.

If you provide the part, we'll watch while you bang you gun apart, and then we will install the modified part for you and then put the gun back together for you. You would be accepting all liability for marring the gun's finish and would hold us harmless if such an event occurred.

Hope the above process helps in understanding the difficulties in such an endeavor. We just don't want to run the chance of messing up your gun. . . . . .
