    You DON'T want to meet him in a dark alley... or anywhere ELSE, for that matter. KNOW Jesus, and you'll NEVER meet him.

      [QUOTE=RAMCLAP;15473129]Not taboo.

      According to the scriptures Satan(means accuser) was a high ranking angel. He was the most beautiful of all the angels. His pride due to his beauty became so overwhelming that he thought he was equal or higher than God. He was able to deceive one third of the other angels. He was cast out of Heaven along with his angels. He had been given a certain amount of dominion on this earth. That power was broken at the resurrection of Christ. Satan still has great power. His goal is still to deceive all of the peoples of the earth and to wreak havoc on the Church. Hell was created for his punishment. He isn't there yet and he doesn't rule there. He will be punished worst of all in Hell. The earth is his residence but he does have access to the Heavenly Throne where he apparently goes regularly to accuse Christians of all manner of wrong doing. It causes him to rage because many if not most of the time he is right but God won't listen to him because of justification of the saints. He is not omnipresent or omniscient. But his angels are very numerous and can do great damage to the affairs of people all over the world. His angels can posses humans and do regularly. The scriptures only mention Satan himself possessing two people. Judas Iscariot and the Lawless One at the end of this age. I think that covers most everything. I'm sure others will chime in with anything I left out.[/QUOTE

      I agree with pretty much everything said here, except. I was taught that while he used to have access to Heaven, that ended with the Crucifixion. He was given a certain amount of freedom up till then, to let his true character be known. However, once Christ died for something He did not do, then Satan's true character was reveled and he was completely banished from Heaven.
      Though, don't think this thought really changes anything RAMCLAP said.

        Hell does not exist yet. The dead are all in paradise but in two separate sections: one for those who have come through the first resurrection, the second failed and have to wait until the millenium where they will get a second chance to be saved.

        As stated in Revelation, hell will not exist until after the millenium, after the tribulation and final war where Satan will be defeated. That will be the day of final judgement and Satan (and those who followed him) will be cast into the lake of fire and blotted out even from the memory of those who remain.

        There is nothing that supports the myth that hell is some kind of eternal torment, it is a one-time extermination in the lake of fire.

          This is Dispensationalism. It is held by only a small minority of Christians.
