Measure what he says, does, and how he lives in light of scripture. It's all very well documented. In short:



I know a couple of people (and several in the past) that really believe in the crap he's selling. I don't understand how they can read God's word and see that this man is really a man of God. Fortunately the bible makes even that easy to understand:

2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Of course 2 Thessalonians 2 discusses much of this as well in the context of the end times, which we have been living in since Jesus ascended. Who knows how much we have left to go? I know people who say they can't imagine how things can get worse, but I think they lack imagination. Most people do. Jesus himself said it will be like the days of Noah, and what we see there is that mankind's thoughts are only evil all the time. I still see a lot of good in the world from unbelievers, so it may be 50 or 100 years to get there. It might even take another 1,000 years. Only The Lord knows for sure.

So I think things will continue to be interesting for quite some time to come, and they will continue to get more interesting all the way up to the end, whenever that may be.

Heretical Preachers and False Teachers

In all seriousness I know of a show that will blow your mind when it comes to these money grubbing televangelists and mega church preachers. Not only but also ex positing prosperity gospel preachers by taking Traditional Christian Beliefs from the original Greek and Hebrew Sola and knocking them down one at a time.

For the first time in over 5 years we have TV at our house, the trial package that we have contains over 10 channels with guys like Hinn on it.
These are suppose to be Christian channels but the ones I've seen so far are all about greed.
Not only are guys like Hinn money grabbers the people who tune in and sit in his audience are as well.
After watching one show (not Hinn) for a few minutes yesterday I came to that conclusion, the people who send money are just like those who sign up for infomercial real estate packages...Every single one of them is working an angle to make a quick buck.

No sympathy from me.

He's a charleton of the highest order. A few years ago he bought a mega mansion on the water in Newport Beach.....

My grandparents used to religiously (pun intended) watch Oral Roberts every Sunday. Sent him what they could and really loved and respected him.

Until that day he said that if he didn't raise enough money (to build his university as I recall) that God was "calling him home"

Never sent him a cent or watched him after that. There faith was strong but they weren't stupid.

He reported that he had some massive number of people attend a "Revival" meeting in Fiji, something like 5 million people in two nights.

Problem is, the "Revival" was being held in the nation's largest Soccer Stadium, that held a maximum of about 50,000 people, and that is including every square foot of available standing space.

100% verifiable lies.
