Candidates to replace the late Pope Francis, RIP.

The new pope's leadership will set the tone for the Church's future, whether continuing Francis's progressive reforms or shifting back toward conservatism.

To be fair, itโ€™s not a position that can stay empty for long. Iโ€™m sure that the likely candidates have been positioning themselves since Francis got sick.

Hopefully itโ€™s an old school wop. Keep it real.

Itโ€™s time for a trans-pope. There may have already been one.

Why can't it be empty for long? Catholics will explode or something?
^^^The above is just an opinion.

"...which from their verbosity, their endless tautologies, their involutions of case within case, and parenthesis within parenthesis, and their multiplied efforts at certainty by saids and aforesaids, by ors and by ands, to make them more plain, do really render them more perplexed and incomprehensible, not only to common readers, but to lawyers themselves. Better but not best.

Apparently heโ€™s less keen on the gay stuff but is big on immigrants. Middle of the road candidate. Not a MVGA pope unfortunately.

I am delighted with the choice. It could have been so much worse..
