    Scripture for Mothers memorial

We will be spreading my mothers ashes in Sedona on Saturday and was hoping to get some nice scripture passages from the Calguns Brethren.

Don't have any actual scripture, but this is very good:

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

          1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 NIV
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.
14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Not a scripture. Something my Pastor said and a funeral once. When the Christian takes their last breath in this life, they become more alive than they have ever been.
                Psalm 103

Speak from the heart, and practice with your spouse.

I am very sorry for the loss of your mother.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 might serve in part as a remembrance of your mother.
You might also take comfort in John 11, especially 17-27.
