    Motivation from the unexpected.

This week I was outdoors at my work with my head phones on enjoying some country music, a cigar, and some sunshine. A obviously homeless gentleman with ripped rags for clothes motioned for a light to a half cigarette he had found. All I had was matches for my cigar so I handed him 2 and he informed me he didn't know how to use them. I stood up and lit his cigarette and that's when I noticed he had a single possession to his name, a holy bible. He sat next to me on a bench and I was talking to him about the bible he carried. I asked what he had recently read or any verse he found inspiring he could share with me. He said " it doesn't matter what I read because all of Jesus word touch my heart and soul'.

We talked a little bit more and as i went to leave the gentleman said "God bless you Sir" a said the same and we parted ways.

I couldn't help but think how inspirational this man in rags looking for a smoke was to me. How when he read the bible he felt and was comforted by the word of God. A man with no worldly possessions yet at the same the single possession that has helped him know and love Jesus Christ and understand his grace. A man with nothing witnessed to others sharing Jesus love and not expecting anything in return.

I felt obligated to share this blessing here with you fellow believers. I hope we can accept the love of Jesus as this brother in Christ has. God bless you all.

Heartwarming story. We often forget what's important.

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul?

It's always inspiring to be around someone that has been moved by the word of God.

A simple, but powerful & poignant reminder of the power of God's existence and word.

The story certainly moved me this morning!
