Titus 1:15-16 New King James Version (NKJV)

15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being [a]abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

A little aside here: remember the verses where those who go too far sinward may be TURNED OVER to a REPROBATE mind ? Look them up, I can see it as applying to the rampaging etc riots occurring across the USA. AS well that hell bent media with TDS and the anti Christian/religion attitude in motion. Whatdayuh think ?

          awesome thread!

the looter-activists that called for attacking Whites, the suburbs, or
so-called "affluent" communities are truly of their father the devil.

            J. Vernon McGee taught that according to Isaiah, chapters 1-3, the Bible presents three stages of national decline: spiritual apostasy, followed by moral awfulness, followed by political anarchy. He stated publicly before he died in December 1988 that he believed the USA was in the last stage. I find the older I get, the smarter he gets. If you have access to his "Thru The Bible" commentary, he goes into greater depth there.

I'm sure he would not be surprised at all to see the nation now, some 30 years later.

None of us deserve salvation. The only hope for this nation is revival.

            Silence is not violence.

              Psalm 1
Romans 1:24-32 New King James Version
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their [a]women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the [b]men, leaving the natural use of the [c]woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, [d]sexual immorality, wickedness, [e]covetousness, [f]maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 [g]undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, [h]unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

                  Psalm 55:9-13

Great thread! It's refreshing to hear like minded Christians who shares the same hobby. Here's my take:

In my personal devotion, I read the below Psalm and see a striking parallel to what we as the American society is experiencing in this tumultuous times.

I can't help but think of our LE officers is feeling at the moment and I believe this Psalm gives insight as well as give a perspective from Scripture that we can learn and apply.

The author is King David. In his lifetime he has to endure betrayal from his own family members. This is one of Psalms he penned.

9 Destroy, O Lord, divide their tongues; for I see violence and strife in the city. 10 Day and night they go around it on its walls, and iniquity and trouble are within it; 11 ruin is in its midst; oppression and fraud do not depart from its marketplace.

                  - revealed the fragile nature of society when people are decieved and roused together for destruction

12 For it is not an enemy who taunts me- then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me- then I could hide from him. 13 But it is you, a man, my equal, my companion, my familiar friend. (Psalm 55:9-13, ESV)

                  - the irony that our LE officers is experiencing is that the very same society that it is their duty to serve and protect is now turning against them

So it is sad to see it turning this way, which gives us all the more reason to support our local LE community and pray for them and at the same time pray for the lost who are deceived.

So in studying Romans chap.13 vs 1-7 I think really speaks to how we as Christians should live today. For me this has been a hard thing to do mentally. Especially under poor leadership both personally and for our elected leaders.Paul speaks well of how we should act for we should be eternally focused on God’s work and agenda rather than the works of men.

13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
