Exciting times for our small congregation.

Over the past 6 months our small congregation has been trying to transform itself. We left our previous synod and joined the NALC. It was a difficult and hard decision that we prayed about and ultimately felt it was the rite choice for us. It felt as though the Holy spirit was working through us. As soon as we did we had support we never new existed. We had pastors that dove to our small congregation and preached then refused to take a penny. We have 2 new families attending service. We have had so many blessing but today takes the cake. We were able to call a pastor and he accepted. Not only has he accepted he has gone to work instantly. To be honest he had been working previously making all of us youtube videos of his sermons. He was also calling all members checking and praying with them. We are all so excited in the direction the Lord has taken us. For the first time this year our small town will VBS. This is a difficult time but God provides.

I'm LCMS, but we're hoping NALC will work out in the long run, as I know we're in talks to help youse guys become more confessional.

Your seminary is about 30 minutes up the road from me (nw side of Pittsburgh), in Ambridge, PA, btw.

For a long time I was WELLs but was raised, confirmed, and baptized LCMS. When we moved up the hill our local church was ELCA. We were totally against going until we found out they were ELCA by name not by belief. Leaving the ELCA has been a total blessing in regards to support and doctrine.

My daughter was all set to attend Grand View University this summer for there Nexus program until the virus happened.

I beat the rush, and left ELCA in 1998. They'd left me, YEARS before that...

That is such good news. We Presby's have a soft spot for Lutherans.

Ohhhhhhhhh... you have MUCH to learn, about the History of Lutheranism in North America.

            Here's a VERY brief illustration.
