There will always be some who insist our planet is flat, or that Jesus was not an historical figure.
Indeed some ignorant or dishonest main street media publications preach that 2nd nonsense every December. Witness the Washington Post's lies described in the article below.

The truth is, or at least was:

But maybe today we are entering a social justice pseudo science era where some will insist established facts are false? And so they might believe and teach almost anything that aids their narrative. Such as that Jesus never existed.

This is an excellent post. I would only add that there is historical evidence by way of first hand accounts that Jesus was indeed resurrected from the dead and came back to life! Which in my opinion is what distinguishes him when folks say that he lived, was a "prophet", etc. but not the son of God.
