In the first Chapter of the Gospel of John, is the phrase : " And we beheld His Glory full of grace and truth. " I want to set forth a insight I considered when going over and over the part, full of grace and truth. I would like to say that Jesus IS Grace and Truth personified in the flesh. More than a religious concept but actually Grace and Truth in your face. Up close and personal. What say you Bros ?

John was on the Mount of Tranfiguration and saw Him as He truly is. Glorious.

Don't overthink it. Truth to them was about knowing the true forms or ideals over the shadows (Plato's cave metaphor). John was combating gnosticism within Christianity but also held a fair amount of gnostic-like theology himself (Christ as Logos). Grace & truth = just grace and truth. Grace = god's love & kindness. Truth = Christ as the pure ideal that is the basis of all understanding.
