    Steve McQueen: American Icon

Did anyone get a chance to see this last night? I missed it, but there will be encore showings on October 10th and 19th.

Movie star Steve McQueen had it all! Cars, women, money, fame - He was the King of Cool, a man's man. But something was missing. Late in life, he finally discovered what it was: a relationship with Jesus Christ.

A true Conservative American Hero - funny you of all people should've posted about him...

Conservative hero? Don't be mislead by his on-screen persona. His life was filled with drugs, sex, booze and emptiness before he found Christ. The movie is about his conversion to Christianity; maybe you missed that part. This explains more:

Went to see it with my wife last night ... she's the religious one, I'm a believer but don't need to sit for an hour in a church and meet smiling faces in the lobby afterwards, and I certainly don't need a middleman (preacher) to interpret basic spirituality ... I - get - it

Anywayyy ... went to see this world premier last night with my wife, and ya ... if you like cookie cutter Christian church music at the beginning. The stories and interviews of an ICON of the motion picture industry ... Steve McQueen led a hell'uva life. It's about 90% movie clips and pictures and about 90% just interviews with people who had the lucky chance to be part of his amazing life.

In the end the guy what made the movie gives a sermon ... if you like being preached to, you will like it. My wife loved it. Me ... I can give a sermon of my own if you have the time to sit and listen to my interpretation of whatever.

No. I'm pretty serious about my faith. But the way you wrote that just made me laugh. No offense taken.
