1 Pe2:22 WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH; 23 and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

Christ's perfect life doesn't save us. It qualified Him, alone, go to the cross to crush sin. v.24 literally says the He carried our sins up onto the cross.

Realize also, on this day, that, we Christians died with Him, were crucified with Him, buried with Him, and rose with Him. Somehow, in a way we cannot understand, on this day in 30AD, we died too (Romans 6:1-10; Galatians 2:20). The spiritual implications are staggering and are the basis of our spiritual life in Christ now.

Apply His death, and your death with Him, His resurrection and your resurrection with Him, in your battle with sin today and every day (Rom 6:11-14).

Daniel 9:27

I was reading the wonderful prophecies of Daniel this morning and as I read this text, Good Friday had an even greater meaning in my life. This prophecy foretold in exact years from the proclamation to plan the rebuilding of Jerusalem in 457 BC to Christ's ministry and death.....and how beautifully it tells us what ceased at Christ's death.......not the law or its truths, but the sacrifice and oblations that merely pointed forward pictorially to the crucified lamb that would fulfill all sacrifices for eternity! Bottom line, he has saved all mankind by His gift, if accepted. Even in the time of Daniel the prophet, angels were sent to reveal the hope of all mankind far in the future....and not just the earthly walk and sacrifice of Christ, but the return at the end of days to take his redeemed people home.
