Hi guys, I came to the realization that indwelling sin remains in me and I want to be more serious about my faith. Got off track and wish to get back on it. I now know what Paul meant in Romans about that struggle with sin. Just wanted to discuss this with fellow brethren.

That indwelling sin is known Biblically as the "flesh."
To show you how serious the battle is:
Here - the flesh battles the Holy Spirit!
Ga5:17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.
Here - the literal translation is that the fleshes nature is to wage war against the soul:
1 Pe2:11 Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.
Remember also that it's a put-off / put-on battle. You put-off sin and put-on righteous behavior in its place. So, don't focus on stopping sin, focus on replacing sin with godly behavior. Ephesians 4:17-32 teaches this wonderfully.
Anything in particular you want help with?

Well, I'm an expert on sinning. So, ask me anything you want to know. Seriously though, it's not so much about how hard you fight as it is about being conformed to His image. The more you are conformed to His image the allure of the flesh becomes less desirous. He is doing a work in you. Let Him do it.Psalm 103

Correct. All of life is thoroughly corrupted by sin. Praise God we have a savior that is greater than that sin.Psalm 103

Dead serious. The beautiful thing about the Gospel is that I am no longer judged on my works, but on His finished work. That doesn't give me license to sin, on the contrary. For if I were to be living in/willfully sinning, I'd have to question my own Salvation to begin with. Thankfully God did something for me that I am unable to do myself. I'm moving on, it's a new day and yesterday has passed.Comment
