I liked the idea of doing daily praise reports when I was in rehab some timd ago. I thought it would be cool to start a praise report thread and keep it going.
My praise report-
Me and my lady have been having financial struggles for over a year now. Cost of living is so high here that even with all the overtime we work, its hard to maintain and save money on the side. Something always comes up and wipes out our accounts.
Well, we both just got HUGE raises at work (we work at the same place) and our raises will be in effect starying Monday. Shes going from 14 to 23 an hour, and I am going from 16 to 22! Thats a combined 30 an hour to 45 an hour jump! We were in disbelief that we both had this happen to us in literally the same week. I was so frustrated and burnt out from working 60 hour weeks with always changing hours that I put in my 2 weeks notice the Monday before last, intent on applying for the IBEW local for Inland Empire, but didnt have anything set up for work in the meantime (its gonna be a couple month process at least before i can get an apprenticeship). The HR director called me in 3 days after my notice was given, and long story short, put me in the maintenance department to work with electricians effective May 3rd! He is a believer himself.
2 weeks ago, we were down and out, wondering how we were going to make it if I was going to be put of a job for aome time. The stress I have been going through at work lately, as well as the lack of sleep and time to handle my personal life, had driven me the the breaking point. It was only a matter of time before I had a total mental and emotional breakdown. Fast forward to now, and it just amazes me how this just unfolded itself right in front of us.
I know who really gave this blessing to us. It wasnt us, it wasn't our work, it wasnt anyone except for the Big Man upstairs.
This is my recent praise report, and Id like to hear yours too.
