Wife is going in for an MRI to determine the extent of her recently discovered colon cancer. Results may be up to be reviewed by oncologist tomorrow. This has completely taken us by surprise since they usually don't screen for this until 50 years and she's just turned 40.

This has got me to prioritize things in my life and I've recently gotten back into church. I'm praying quite often and have found that we have quite a support group. This has to be the most stressful time in our lives and I'm looking for support, prayers and guidance.

Thanks everybody. I'll keep you posted. We have 3 kids and we all need her around. She's the backbone of the family and she's holding up way better than I am in all of this.

I'm a pastor. My wife is 38. We have three kids, too. My heart hurts for you and your wife, and you all. I just now prayed that God would heal her completely this side of heaven. God's peace, comfort, and strength be with you, my friend, through Jesus Christ.

I'm trying. First MRI of her colon came back as being stage 3. There's a spot on her liver that they believe is angioma but couldn't rule it out. A scheduling mishap and a much needed Disneyland trip has put off the MRI for the liver until last Friday. Back to reality. Waiting on results from that. As it stands now it'll be 3-6 months of chemo and radiation then surgery. Ultrasound and a surgeon meeting scheduled still. I'm back in church, reading the Bible and praying. I've always been able to solve the family's problems. Any problem that has come up I've tackled. I'm helpless on this one. I just pray and am at my wife's beck and call. I ask for continued support and prayers. Thanks for the prayers.
