And he will. When Satan returns in the form of the Anti Christ, he will perform supernatural miracles to fool people into believing he is Christ.

          Look at it like this:

We hear of a person speaking about the Gospel in Socal. He comes up to Sacto and spreads the word and does miracle. Walks through a hospital and everyone is healed by his touch. His teachings are consistent with other Gospels...so, would you believe he is an Apostle or would you wait to see if he is false?
I would be very, very cautious. From my readings of the Bible, I only see one person who had the power to do mass healings like that, and that was Christ. All the others were done on a one to one basis.

Thanks for replying! I, too, will avoid sidetracking this thread with a long discussion on this point. Suffice it to say, I believe the Lord does still work miracles, but I honestly have no idea how often they occur.
            Regarding the 2nd Amendment:
"...to disarm the people ― that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them." George Mason ("The Father of the Bill of Rights")

            Regarding Life and Death:
"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28

The BIG question: "What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?" Matthew 27:22b

Not sure what exactly you meant by "mass healings like that", but this passage from Acts 5:12-16 (NKJV) comes to mind,

And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the peoplesick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

                ^^^^THIS RIGHT HERE^^^^

I've seen prayer save a life after the doctors had given up. I've seen unexpected events pop up which caused me to be 50 or 100 miles away from where I thought I'd be, to suddenly, miraculously, be in the right spot, at the right time to save a choking baby or give CPR.

I've seen a flat tire stop me 100yrds before a washed out bridge.

You don't need to convince me.

I have to question why God would allow a 23 year old man to go through the hell of Chemo, weekly radiation and daily sickness that follows.

Our family prays daily for a miracle, but so far it has fallen on deaf ears.
I truly can't imagine how horrible it must be to watch your son and the rest of your family suffer so.

As a word of encouragement: I have had folks in my own family that the Lord has chosen to heal miraculously. However, I have had far more family members that He has chosen not to heal miraculously. I have no means to discern WHY/WHEN the Lord chooses to heal one and not another, but please remember that even if you do not hear a response, the Lord is not deaf to your pleading. Please don't give up on going to Him in prayer; please don't think He doesn't hear you.

More importantly than the miracle, does your son have Jesus as his Savior?
I will pray for your family and friend. My 14 year old niece had cancer and it ravaged here. She went out with a smile on here face loving the Lord and thankful for His grace and mercy. It doesn't seem fair that her life was so short lived. Today she is at the foot stool of the Lord in peace. He gave her peace and comfort in her time of need, and how much more so does she have peace now. God rest her soul!

Yes, my son has accepted Jesus and accepts he may not see his next birthday, or see his daughter graduate college or walk her down the aisle. He is disappointed, but accepts this is Gods will.

Maybe I'm being selfish and not worthy, but I am so angry right now. I lost my oldest son and now he's taking my last child. I've heard the saying, "The Lord doesn't give you more than you can handle", but it is hard to keep faith in these dark times.

My prayers to your family as well and for your niece. She was so young.
My apologies to the OP for going off topic.

There are no words that I can write to aswage your anger. Perhaps anger is the correct way to feel right now. But friend, I can assure you that it is not written anywhere in the scriptures that God doesn't give you more than you can handle. If that were true then we would have no need for Him. The entire scriptures are of people given more than they can handle. Take your anger to God. He can handle it. It still doesn't mean you'll get the answer you want. I will continue to pray for you and your boy. Peace upon you friend.

I agree with this. Tell God you're angry with Him.

                          "I'm angry with you!!!"

He knows, even before you say it he knows. He can help you deal with your anger. One thing I always remember is Him being my Father, and I His child, and He knows best. Always helps comfort me in my dark times. Your prayers are not falling on deaf ears I assure you.

In November 2009, the day after thanksgiving, I lost my fiancee after 8 years being together to liver failure because she became an alcoholic. I couldn't readily leave because there were two kids involved. My whole family and many church friends prayed for her day and night for a month straight. I lost her anyway. Hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. I was angry with God and I told Him that, more than once. It really does help.

Your prayers are always heard. You may not get the answer you want, and you should prepare for all outcomes, but He knows best.
