    Luke 21:25

I have been told that the phrase "distress of nations" Refers to nations being in financial distress. This opinion is apparently based on research done by a couple of ministers in the mid West some time back.
I'm unable to locate this using a web search.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Yeah, sounds like more dispensationalism which sells a lot of books because you can make current events tie in with it. Read this book called Amillenialism by Kim Riddlebarger if you want to really dig into what Scripture has to say about the end times instead of what men will say to sell books.
