    German Wings Co-Pilot

Let's assume the German Wings co-pilot was a believer and as it appears, he intentionally downed the aircraft. Is he in Heaven?

EDIT: What if on the way down he changed his mind, the plane wouldn't respond and he asked for forgiveness?

If he repented and tried to save the plane then yes. Not that the work of trying to save the plane did anything. It would just be the sign of his repentence. As to the first proposition that he was a believer and deliberately crashed the plane, mental illness is not a preclusion from Heaven. If he did it for revenge then one could question his faith. However, our God is not unjust. He will get what he deserves as well as his victims.

Depending on what he believed he is either with 64 virgins or rotting in Hell.
But he is certainly not in heaven.

Regarding the co-pilot's desire to kill all the passengers and his fellow crewmates, "You will recognize them by their fruits." Matthew 7:16.

Regarding the co-pilot's mental state, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7.

This discussion is ridiculous. Of course the co-pilot is not going to hell. If there is a god, and he has a plan, the crash was part of god's plan. That means the co-pilot was helping to execute the divine plan making him god's devout servant and sending him straight to heaven.

Of course, the other argument is that there is no god, no plan, and no heaven or hell. In which case, he is still not going to hell.

Instead of worrying about this coward/murder's eternal soul, let's discuss the merits of worshipping a sadistic god that permits this tool to destroy 150 innocent lives, and their families.

I'm gonna go with, "No, he did not go to heaven." If the co-pilot was on some sort of religious mission, it just makes the incident all the more tragic for the passengers he killed, in my opinion.

(Hadn't read the sticky. I joined to chime in on a discussion that I was sent a link to and not to offend anyone on a specifically religious forum. Comments edited.)
