    IS JUDAS A HERO?

BECAUSE JUDAS BETRAYED JESUS, CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED ON THE CROSS. WITH OUT THE DEATH AND RESSURECTION ON THE CROSS WE ARE ALL DAMNED TO HELL. SHOULD WE BE THANKFUL TO JUDAS FOR BEING INSTRUMENTAL FOR OUR SALVATION?

PS. IS JUDAS DESTINED TO BETRAY CHRIST? WHAT ABOUT FREE WILL?
IF JUDAS DID NOT BETRAY JESUS, SOMEONE WOULD?

Very good question, but please reformat it. All caps has been frowned upon for almost as long as the internet has been around.

No he should not be. God knows the end from the beginning and that Judas would betray him as he told him in the upper room. By your reasoning should Satan be praised as he was the start of the fall of man? This ultimately lead to Christ being a sacrifice for our salvation.

Christ knew about Judas and willingly gave himself to save those that will believe in him.

Judas' actions were necessary, but to call him a hero is missing the point. No, he wasn't a hero. He was actually pretty pitiful. He allowed his love of money to blind him to what he was doing, then afterward he was so full of despair he killed himself, instead of repenting and trusting God for mercy.

Judas a betrayer to Jesus, yes. Judas to have complete freewill, no.
Satan entered into Judas according to Luke.

I saw this documentary on netflix. Called the gospel of judas.
It was strange but the point was judas had known Jesus was our saver but Jesus could not save man in human form. So I guess this "gospel" was written with the intention of showing judas was helping free jesus.

No. God is able to accomplish his will REGARDLESS of evil, not because of it. There is a big difference in the two. Just because God can make all things work together for good, doesn't mean that evil is actually good.

Judas Hero? Nope. Freewill, but he choose to pull the trigger anyways. He had the courage to hang himself because of his guilt. When he kissed Jesus for the sack of silver, his pleasure was fulfilled. Just like Eve looking at the tasty forbidden fruit. Just like me looking at the slow cooked pork belly sitting right in front of me, right now. I'm on a diet, I can choose to eat it or not (I ate it, lol). Freewill doesn't decide for us.

Is it destine? No, but like hunting, a deer will always walk a trail. They are predictable. Sin is the hunter, man the deer. We walk the trail every day. Its up to us to notice the scent of sin and leave the area or keep walking that trail. Judas chose to walk the trail. Not a hero. He began to steal from the treasury long before Jesus was crucified.

If you say Judas was a hero, then you should also say that Satan is a hero as well. "Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Isacriot, being of the number of the twelve. And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them." Luke 22: 3-4 KJV

For that matter, is Pontius Pilate a hero?

Pilate a hero? Nope. Why? "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!"
Pilate didnt want to deal with it and washed his hands... lukewarm.
