i recently retired from LE work and was told that as a retired "qualified LEO" I'm not authorized to buy Off roster handguns any longer. I'm trying to buy a Sprinfield Armory XDS 9mm for my CC Weapon. Bummer!

If your dept. does the program where you can go back to work per diem or as a level 1 reserve you can order as an LEO while on duty and IMHO qualify for the PO exemption. I'm no legal authority but asked this question once here.

Not going back! Working second career now. I have to admit that the PO exemption was a good situation to be in.
