    Retired LEOSA CC

i recently retired from LE work and was told that as a retired "qualified LEO" I'm not authorized to buy Off roster handguns any longer. I'm trying to buy a Sprinfield Armory XDS 9mm for my CC Weapon. Bummer!

Correct. Only way for you now is via PPT. Also, congrats on your retirement! May it be long and healthy!!!!

Congrats on the retirement and for your service! Also, welcome to the other side of gun ownership in CA.

If your dept. does the program where you can go back to work per diem or as a level 1 reserve you can order as an LEO while on duty and IMHO qualify for the PO exemption. I'm no legal authority but asked this question once here.

Not going back! Working second career now. I have to admit that the PO exemption was a good situation to be in.
