I did not know when I posted this that Paul Harvey's father was a Policeman and was killed on duty when Paul was a child. Means even more to me now.

      It's a good one, that's for sure.

Many thanks to all LE ~ thoughts and prayers for your safety always. #ICanBreath .. Just know that y'all are appreciated by many ~ I won't go into the story...but I've only met one cop that was truly a bad guy... I've had many LE friends that helped me turn my life around...it's b/c of them I'm alive today...their patience helped steer me in a different direction... otherwise I'd probably be in jail or dead. They didn't judge, they saw a young woman at a crossroads, who needed a little guidance. My life would have been much different had I not had the respect and friendship of both Placer County and Washoe County cops on those long graveyard shifts in Tahoe. God Bless

I am happy to hear you turned your life around. I'm not from one of those agencies, but it still brings joy to my heart.

          Stay safe.

            Merry Christmas!

Leave work at work, spend time with your family, turn off the news (turn on football, preferably) and never forget...

No matter how bad politics seem, or work seems, or what someone is screaming in your face...for every person telling you they wish you were dead there's 999 other people that would offer you coffee and a meal on your graveyard shift as they saw you rolling through their neighborhood, or would want their kids to say hi to you and learn you're their friend, or simply say thank you.

The holidays are supposed to remind us how much we have, not what we don't. Start working on that, and you'll forget about racism and all the other nonsense.

I don't care what anybody says, this is the best job I've ever had, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Yeah, stay safe out there guys and gals.

Maybe it's me getting older but it seems like the world is starting to peg the crazy-meter.
