Bull**** M1NM, I've seen it done and done it nunerouse times. I remember a couple years an elderly Sacramento gentleman made a wrong turn on I5 and ended up in San Diego, and the CHP drove him all the way home.

You wonder why there is an Us vs. Them, go look in the mirror

Same here. Did this several times during my career.

Garbage like what M1NM posted just shows who has the real Us vs Them attitude. Ignorance must truly be bliss.

Another one where an Alabama officer buys a grandma short on cash the eggs she was trying to steal to feed her family. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/12/10...eo-goes-viral/

Talk about a feel good story. I'd rather hear about this, than finding out the latest Hollywood gossip on the local news. That's what TMZ is for.

This is a perfect example of how a noble act can shatter the whole "us against them" misconception. Good work!

Just yesterday me and my team came across a pregnant lady who was VERY down and out. She had just committed a minor offense. One of my guys took a 20 out and put it in her wallet. He then drove her to the mission.

Nothing to see here, move on. Happens every day.

I often transported people in an attempt to help them when I had no obligation to do so. As others above stated, this happens all the time. I also payed for a motel room for a mom and her kid who were living in their car while waiting to get into their new apartment. This kind of stuff does not make the news.

On rainy days like today we routinely transport offenders (or clients as I'm supposed to call them) or take them to the local rescue mission or buy coats or other cold weather gear for the homeless vets down by the river.

People only want to see the bad/misinformation.

On a serious note and for what it's worth, I believe that there are a lot more members here that support what you all do, than there are that don't. They're just more vocal about it.

                            Edit:
And like what that guy ^^^^ said, Good job and thank you!

I believe that it is quite obvious that this is a routine part of the job, done on a regular basis. Just shows that those with zero experience with the job, and an anti-LE agenda to push, are really clueless as to what LE does every day.
