That's why thousands of applicants line up for a few firefighter jobs and the LE departments in Cali have to go out and recruit.

It's all good, I actually love the cops, they usually treat me well.

All the rest of the squads must have been at the Capitol Casino.

Here is the cop owned eatery to end all eateries.....the entire PD bought this place out to keep it going, huge clientele now.

We all joke about how Fire requests us Code 3 to a violent patient... Lets see, you have 5-6 knuckle draggers that just left the fire station after lifting weights all day, and they call and wait for one or two officers to show up and handle the issue.. We all work great together though,, great guys

As a 30 year firefighter I have always thought that you cops have a tuff job . Alot of you work by your self responding to life and death emergencies with backup that canbe a long time in comeing .Dealing with dirt bags
But as firefighter we also have dangers that we deal with . Like this time of the year with the hollidays fast approaching we have to worry about wieght gain high cholesterol ,high b.p. from all of the goodys that the public brings to the firehouse for us to enjoy. But we all have our crosses to bear . By the way the joke is "What do cops and firemen have in common? They both want to be firemen ." Just braking bxxx's stop on by anytime and remember the application for firefighter and cop were on the same counter and we all think we picked the right one . AND BE SAFE SO YOU CAN COME HOME.

Firefighters have it tough, they sleep until they are hungry and eat until they are tired.

Having been a LEO for many years now, I can say definitively that I never, ever had any desire to be a fireman. I have gotten a taste of it by having to enter a burning house that was occupied, as well as a number of medical rescue type calls. Not my thing whatsoever, but first responders are first responders and we often beat the FD to these calls (Big red fire truck vs Crown Vic...duh).

I love 'em though. I have not an unkind word for those guys.

I know this thread is lighthearted and in jest, but I want to share a revelation I recently had.

I used to give the Fire guys a ton of flack, mostly in just joking around but some due to experiences I've had on scene.

That was November 3rd, 2014 - Danny Oliver's memorial service.

Every over pass between the church and the cemetery looked just like this. I did pretty good keeping things down during the service, but this display hit me right in the feels.

Any ill will I had previously was erased in a single overpass. Well done boys!

I mess with firefighters, but love them. As far as I'm concerned, they are just as much family as my LE brothers and sisters.

                      Stay safe.
