Nice to see this get some air time. For all the issues we see with police the vast majority are fine upstanding individuals performing a service most people would want nothing to do with.

A long time ago, I wrote a ticket to a man for not having a car seat for a child, illegal left turn, and light violation. The judge dismissed the ticket. I still don't understand it. The judge said "I will give him a benefit of doubt." What benefit of doubt?

Maybe it was a big gift to him from the judge.
