    Do you Remember.............Never forget!

I can't believe its been 13 years. I still remember what I was doing at that very moment. It was pre LEO for me and I was driving to work. I remember hearing on the radio what was going on. I didn't initially believe what I was hearing and changed the channel and it was the same thing on every channel, I was in disbelief. I hurried to work and it was like a graveyard. When I got inside there were 20 + guys huddled around the tv. You could've heard a pin drop. It felt so surreal to watch what was going on and to feel so helpless. I can't remember what I had for dinner last week or last night for that matter, but I will never forget where I was and what I was doing on 9/11. Do you remember where you were and what you were doing?

To our brother's in blue, fire and EMS personnel, and the thousands of other innocent people that lost their lives, you will not be forgotten. RIP

“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children.” –George W. Bush

I was asleep after a long graveyard shift and heard my answering machine, my mom was screaming "we're being attacked!" I turned on tv just to see the second plane hit. I had only been out of USMC for 4 years and was still on inactive reserve, I wanted to go back in but was getting married in 2 months. A big part of me wish I had.

I got to work a little before 6 a.m. I watched the news for about 9hrs straight.
      The phone didn't ring once.

I was sleeping in my barracks room at camp schwab Okinawa. Another marine next door came in, woke me up and I watched the events as they unfolded. We had no word from our command at the time, we all thought we were going to get on a plane and go fight somewhere. I packed up all my gear, got my uniform on and waited to go. I will never forget...

My sister in law called and the we turned on the tv just in time to see the 2nd plane hit. On the way to work, figured out that it was bin Laden. At work, in a call center, only had a handful of calls all day, 8 hour shift. Would check any one of the multiple tv's going that day for updates. Will never forget what happened and of all the lives lost.

My mom called me and woke me up after the first plane hit. I drove to the station and watched what unfolded after that from there. It's definitely a day I will never forget.

I was in a supervisor class for the week, miles from home. I walked into class at 8am and it was on the TV. An emptiness fell over me then turned into rage that someone would attack our homeland. Watched the second plane hit and like said above, you could have heard a pin drop. That is something pretty rare and extraordinary to witness in a classroom full of old school cops.

I left home for work at about 5am or so and heard on the radio. I couldn't believe it. I thought it was pilot error at first, but the second strike was something else.

I was on the roof top of my building with an AR-15 all day on alert.
