Received a silly ticket for not cramping my wheels on a flat road. The grade is less than 3% as verified by the City of San Diego Public Works Dept. Seems like these were given out as required by a quota. I say this because the only cars that received the ticket were the ones parked on a flat road, the vehicles parked downhill/uphill that did not have their wheels cramped to the curb did NOT receive a ticket.

On the citation, the officer's remarks was "Parked SCBL no cramp downhill".

What does SCBL stand for?

Well I was trying to cast it in a better light, I guess you guys are just too accustomed to people badmouthing.

To clarify, what I believe to have happened was maybe the tickets were given out just for the act of giving out tickets, tickets that if contested would be dismissed.

or maybe I deserved the ticket for not cramping my wheels on a highway that has less than a 3% grade

It was dismissed today after I asked them to re-review my case.

They apologized for the inconvenience as the original agent whom reviewed my case meant to dismiss it but for some reason sent me a letter requesting that I pay the fine instead.

How absurd is that?
