Best place to buy firearms (L.E.O)

I have 5 weeks left in the SDSD (Detentions) academy and I am currently shopping around for a CCW sub compact handgun.

Im thinking about getting the G42 or Kahr PM9. Besides EEE (Glocks) in San Diego, is there anybody else that gives factory discounts to L.E.O. in SD?

If you decide on a Glock, be sure to find a place that is a "blue label" dealer. Glock blue label is the public safety price. A simple phone call; "are you a blue label dealer"?

"GLOCK is proud to offer the exclusive Blue Label program to support those who protect and serve communities across the U.S. and around the world. Those who qualify will receive a discount on any GLOCK pistol of their choice."

    Those who qualify include:
•Sworn Law Enforcement officers, including Federal, State, County, & City (Includes retired L.E. officers with "retired" credentials)
•EMT’s, Fire Fighters, Volunteer Fire Fighters, and Paramedics
•Military personnel including Reservists and National Guard with I.D. (Includes retired Military with "retired" credentials)
•Corrections Officers, including Parole and Probation Officers
•State Licensed Security Companies (Loomis, RAM, etc.)
    •State Licensed Armed Security Officers
•Court Judges, District Attorneys and Deputy District Attorneys
•LE Academy Cadets with enrollment documentation from the Academy

EEE is the only Glock blue label dealer I know of in SD. Next closet is ProForce in Brea. I don't know of any local Kahr LE dealers (similar to Glock's Blue Label or Sig's SLED).

There are LE only stores but I only know of in OC/LA (Adamson, Proforce, Pomona Police Supply,...) Hit up your range staff for local connections.

North County firearms in San Marcos. Send me a PM and I'll get you in the right direction. I'll even get you qualified.

Off topic, but have two buddies in that academy with you. Have fun and good luck.

If you are not stuck on Glocks, Quantico Tactical in Oceanside is an LE dealer for S&W and Springfield. They are really friendly and easy to work with.

Springfield . and Sig both have individual officer purchase programs. Just call/email for the price list. Then have the gun shipped to your favorite FFL.

If you don't have a regular FFL, call around and ask what the DROS/Transfer fees are for an ordered gun. DROS only cost $25 (Feds=$10, State=$15). Anything over that is money in their pocket (and out of yours). My local guy only charges me $10-$20 over, depending on how much I have shipped in.

                Proforce in Brea

                All State in Pomona

                Adamsons in Los Alamitos

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to continue looking for a decent deal. As you all know, our check for the first couple of years will be kind of small. I have to be frugal with my funds but also not short myself on a piece of equipment that my life may depend on.

Thanks, I will be looking into all of the suggestions posted.

If you go to Proforce, bring a lunch.

North County Firearms in San Marcos is a "Blue Label" dealer and has had the G42 in stock, or can get want you want. Congrats on the Academy.
