Projection for academy test date? (Alameda)

I am currently applying to Alameda Sheriff's Office Regional Training Center as an unaffiliated, and waiting for their test dates.

On the other hand, I am also planning to enroll a short term EMT program either late July or early August before the academy.
I have called the academy to determine if the EMT school would conflict with the academy test, but they told me that they don't know the date yet.

The Basic Academy class I applied to begins on Oct 13th, is there a way to project which month the test could most likely to be?

Probably not. The reason they can't give you a test date is most likely because the start date is not 100% guaranteed at this time. I'll bet that if they don't have enough affiliates signed up for the class it may not happen. I don't know AlCo specific bottom line number for saying a class will go or not, but it is not uncommon for the regional academy's run out of the local JC to cancel a class because of lack of bodies.

What would you advice? Should I just sign up the two weeks EMT class for late July? (13th to 26th)

How long usually do they notify the applicants before the test? Maybe 14 days?
