    CCW after retirement?

    just wondering if you get to keep your ccw after retirement?

    I suggest reading up on LEOSA. But in California, honorably retired peace officers who qualify under state law get to, yes.

      Active California LEO's don't need a CCW permit.

      After retirement LEOSA qualifies them for carry. Many departments also issues a California CCW permit to retirees.

          Some require annual or some re-qualification as well a physical or mental fitness thing.
          The Federal permit now requires annual recertification - formerly was 5 years.

            May I suggest that you go back and do a little more research, you seem to be combining several different requirements and confusing LEOSA with in state requirements.
