Are LEO's exempt from the CA one pistol every thirty days law? Reason I ask is because I purchased a Springfield XDS about 2 weeks ago and I wish to carry a G27 gen4 instead.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good! -

Update*
California does not recognize Federal Law Enforcement as peace officers and are therefore not exempt. We can purchase off roster firearms but no mags >10 rounds. What retarded politicians thought that up?
Went to purchase my two glocks earlier this week and was told I had to dros the other one 30 days later. They even called CA DOJ and confirmed. =(Last edited by raitheslacker; 05-06-2014, 12:44 PM.Comment

Much to the chagrin of my finances, yes.Comment

Federal is NOT exempt any longer. We cannot purchase off list, 10+ round mags, or more than one pistol per 30 days. Etc
That was a somewhat recent change (mmmm less than a year??), which is ridiculous..... such is California.
I had happily walked into CPE to purchase another Gen 4 when I was sadly informed that Federal Officers were no longer exempt. Maybe down the road we will again be allowed
Edit: I just re-read raitheslacker post. YOU were still able to purchase off list? Just not able to obtain the 10+ round mags? How long ago was this?Last edited by Nefarious; 05-08-2014, 9:55 PM.sigpic

There wasn't any change actually besides adding us to the exempt list for off roster firearms. They just clarified that we were not considered peace officers and let some FFL's know.
I was able to purchase an off list about 9 days ago. The FFL even called CA DOJ on the spot to confirm what we can and what we cannot purchase. Go to Triple EEE in Mission Valley. They just swap out the mags for 10 rounders.Last edited by raitheslacker; 05-08-2014, 10:27 PM.Comment

Still pretty ridiculous that the 10+ mags must be removed lol. But something is better than nothing I supposeLast edited by Nefarious; 05-09-2014, 7:00 PM.sigpic
