It makes me wonder why (since this is a UC system wide issue) it has not been addressed by their association previously? Being retired in a disability isn't a retirement? WTF, does that also have tax problems since it is not considered a retirement? That to me would be a bigger issue than the CCW.

If the disability was for emotional issues, most agencies wouldn't grant CCW priviledges anyway, and LEOSA doesn't allow CCW for emotional retirements.

^True, I assumed since the article said on-duty injury that is was not a stress related or other mental health issue disability retirement.
