Do You Keep Your Body Armor Tails?

I just don't see the point to them. The vest doesn't seem to be riding up, even in a car. Will I regret it?

Nope. Cut them off years ago.

Always cut mine off, or if I was able I ordered the vest without them.

Nope, cut them off..... If you keep them, you will find that they just add to the discomfort. Especially in the heat.

Some coworkers cut them off. They've never bothered me so I just leave them. I thought I heard they were there to stop the vest from moving around.

I keep them. Helps when I have to go "keepers off" and then tuck my shirt in afterwards. Kinda just give a tighter fit. I dont mind em.

I tuck mine into my drawers. I tried folding them up but the vest moves more. I'll be keeping mine.

I use those flaps as a napkin to wipe the grease off my hands in the Armory. Possibly, if you have an off-duty job at a nudist colony, they might serve as a breech-cloth set for front and rear if you can ride the vest down low enough.

Sorry. I couldn't help myself. I leave them alone: the armor looks so ratty when you hack them off.
