Crosswalk question

Right of way is the key. Do nothing that would interfere with the forward crossing.

As a side note, you did say school, so if there is a School Crossing Guard with the stop sign, do not move until the crossing guard lowers the sign after getting all the little children across.

It's a crosswalk located about 1/2 mike from the school. It's a choke point for kids getting to housing. There are only two roads out from the school, and they get pretty congested.

The question was general however, to address the rule for most situations.
