    LAPD K-Town Incident

In re. the woman who said she jumped out of an LAPD unit to avoid being sexually assaulted, happened in or near Korea Town.

IIRC, LAPD doesn't use screen units and has an officer ride escort in the back, at least that's how it was when I lived in LA decades ago. Is this still how they transport suspects?

I'd be totally surprised if anything she alleges is true, but being out of the L.A. area I haven't seen much about this incident. Any insight from the LE community? Is she just trying to beat the rap and make some money?

Any insight on behalf of the cops appreciated, and ok to PM me if opsec is an issue. THANKS.

For the record, I am retired California L.E. (lieutenant) after 30ish years of service.

    They use cages now.

Not a lot of accurate or credible info out there. The only one making statements is her lawyer, and he has no obligation to tell the truth at a press conference.

Negligence for not properly securing her? Possibly

    Sexual assault? Doubtful

Its this what you are talking about?
This is Kim Nguyen a few moments after she “fell” out of an LAPD patrol car in the early hours of March 17, 2013. Her left bra strap is broken and top of her dress is pulled down to her waist. Her jaw was shattered. She lost most of her front teeth. She had to … Continue reading "Kim Nguyen Latest Victim of LAPD’s Olympic Division"

^^^ Yes, that incident. I cannot fathom it being true, but stranger things have happened.

It all depends on if the officers notified dispatch of the female transport as is LAPD policy.

The incident did not happen in Korea Town it happened in Downtown LA at the intersection of Olympic and Grand.
