    For you LASD guys

    Hello,

I am currently in backgrounds with LASD and was wondering if you guys could answer a couple questions for me.

I recently took my polygraph and was told I passed it by the deputy that gave it to me. She said for quality control it had to be looked over by two other people to make sure it was given the green light. Te deputy told me she would tell my BI that I passed though so she could move me along in the process. I'm sure wit the holidays and the amount of work BI have it will take some time to hear back.

I was wondering if you guys had any idea about when I should hear back about my progress? I have tried to contact my BI a couple times just to update her with some information but she has not returned my calls or my emails. I have been told by my references that they received reference letters and have sent them back in. I know this is a long process and to sit and wait, I'm just curious on time line.

also what is next for me in the process? I believe my BI told me that it was the physical part but I am not sure.

How long ago was your poly? Medical and PAT usually next.

Sorry meant to put that in. If I remember correctly I had it dec 20. I could be a day or two off but I believe it was the 20th. I know that was right around the holidays so I'm sure it slowed everything down, but I thought I would of heard something by now even if it was to check in with me or let me know. Then again the BI don't need to check in with the applicants.

Just be patient. I don't think the background investigators wanted to be contacted all the time. Each of them have quite a few candidates to handle.

It took me about 10 months to go through the complete process back when I applied, long time ago.

Poly's do get thoroughly reviewed by other people before they are approved. Your BI may have taken time off during the holiday period also and is just starting to catch up during the first and second week in January. No news is not a bad thing. Means you are still in process rather then getting a rejection letter in the mail.
