LPK sent to school by mistake

Ok, I feel like a real moron but it is what it is and I will try to make a long story short. I ordered a LPK from Daniel Defense, while I was filling out my shipping address I let Chrome Autofill and did not verify it. I usually put an address close to my home in Google Maps so that my home address is not available like that. In any event, the address just happens to be a school up the street from me.

I received an email stating the package was delivered and asked my wife to watch for it, she told me it never came. I came home and I noticed 2 sheriffs on my street, thought it was odd but went in the house and looked around for the package. They did not confront me. We went out to dinner and I looked up the shipping address and realized the mistake. Later when we came home the Sheriffs were gone and it was too late to go up to the school.

Now I am wondering what to do, should I walk up to the school and ask if they had received my package by mistake or should I call the Sheriff and have them intervene? I was thinking the school would not open the package since no one there has my name but I am thinking why were the Sheriffs on my street? The last thing I want to do is cause problems.

Nothing illegal about springs and detects. Walk down the street and get your package.

I agree. Visit the school to get your stuff. They'll probably be relieved that it was a mistake and not some odd confusing threat.

The Sheriff's units were most likely on an unrelated call. Shake off the calguns paranoia and go to the school and get your package.

          And stop using other addresses.

I made a good ammo order a few years ago, 400 rds of .50bmg, 3000 rds of 556, and some 9 mm, .40 etc, 357 sig, etc. Im in my kitchen window and UPS pulls up and two PD unit pulls up right behind him. Im thinking jeez this is weird what have I done now. So I go out to the ups truck to see what happens and I say hi to the officers and get my ammo from the ups driver. I get the boxes lug them in the house the ups driver leaves the two officers are outside their cars talking and they leave a minute later. Im guessing they had a call or something around the corner like a civil standby or something and were just meeting real quick first, But damn what timing lol !! For a minute im like uh oh wth did I order that I wasnt supposed too!!

or call the delivery company to retrieve it and then you pick it up at their hub wearing your "i'm a giant goofball" t-shirt.

Just go into the school and announce that your looking for your gun. You should be ok.

I ended up sending an email to the principle who told me that a substitute teacher signed for the package, normally they only sign for packages addressed to teachers they know otherwise the return to sender. In this case they returned to sender, all is good.
