Escape attempt: 4 deputies injured

This happened a couple of weeks ago in the Blythe jail, which is a tiny jail at the eastern-most point of Riverside County and California. The inmates are the worst of the worst. The public does not realize the kind of scum that is housed in our local jails. I was told the deputies were severely beaten and one was Tazed repeatedly with his own Tazer. Prayers to the deputies for a speedy recovery.

Well since this was an attempt and the inmates are where they should be,..... I say it's time for some personal mentoring from some of the remaining staff. Captain of the guard, Shawshank style in a private room with no cameras. -g

I would gladly place myself in a room with these dudes one by one. Those pipe checks are accidents waiting to happen.

theres a lot more to this than a simple escape attempt. details are being withheld due to it being an active case but there is a lot more to it. Hopefully once its over the info can be put out for others to learn from.

What i can say is the deputies all made it home at the end of the day, some with some pretty bad injuries, but they will recover. They fought hard and never gave up.

The lesson that needs to be put out there is that no jail is 100% safe and these animals will do whatever it takes to hurt law enforcement. Sadly the mindset of the leaders who dictact policy is that these criminals are victims and jail shouldnt be a place of punishment. Incidents like this will happen again because its a numbers game and policies give inmates homefield advantage.
