You either need to do something with the fence that conforms to the 5' height requirement and Fire access you need but is still able to deter people from walking through or deal with it. From what you've said, the people don't seem to be cause any harm to the area so its simply an annoyance that you don't want them walking across this little strip of land. I'm sorry to say it but you bought a piece of property next to a state park with an access road next to it...signs don't stop people from walking through.Comment

Thank you for your advice. Better job of exclusion seems to be a common thread.
Size of the private property should be irrelevant, but they are walking 1/3 mile through it to get to the park.

If all they are doing is walking across the land they are not trespassing. You can take all the pictures you want but nothing will be done. If they occupied the land and didn't leave when somebody who has standing asked them to then it would be trespassing.Comment

Since the property contacts a state park and people use it to go into the park talk to the rangers. DPR is all about working with the community and the rangers have jurisdiction to help. What state park is it?Comment

I have a question about my HoA trespassing on my property. Their lil camera lady goes around the neighborhood and props herself up along my wooden fence so she can see over my fence and into the back yard. I recieved a violation for weeds in my back yard that cant been seen from the street and the HoA claims they saw but didnt take photos that day. I have since posted a "no trespassing" sign on my fence. If she does it again do I have any legal grounds to go after them?
She has already been warned by a medically retired combat marine that several former military and current LE live in our area and that she will probably detained for her behavior that many of us would consider suspicious"I swear I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

I hope you are not in Malibu. The HOA in that area is scandalous. They take down the public / beach access signs and tell you to access 2 1/2 miles away so they have less people on their part of the 'public' beach

If they park in the cul-de-sac , is there enough room for a fire truck to turn around in, if it is blocked? Maybe working with the city/county and HOA maybe turning it into a red zone, then possibly having them towed or cited. Firetrucks must have the ability to turn in a circle/cul-de-sac without being blocked by vehicles....That is my understanding since I am a board member in a HOA. I don't if that helps...sigpic

The fire lane is a good idea. We have narrow winding streets and signs indicating that parking is to be in bays only, but they still park on the street which would prevent a fire truck from turning around. Does the city typically need to designate fire lanes?Comment

If it is on a public street then the answer is yes, if the roadway is private don't expect the local PD to enforce the HOA's rules for parking.Comment
