    Gould & Goodrich belt qeustion

    Hey all,

I got a new belt from Dvor it's the B59. They had originally sent it without the buckle . Remedied that with a nice shiny Nickel buckle overnighted. Problem is there aren't any instructions on how to mount the buckle .. Pics below help appreciated.

I'm going to guess the opposite end of the belt has holes? Buckle mounts to that end in appropriate holes for your size. From there I hope you know how to put it on. I haven't got a clue what the plastic piece or screws are for.

Ya I was like wtf lol. Maybe it's to hang the belt on a wall or some crap? I' am used to regular belts this is my fist duty belt so little different for me. I was looking for it to slide thru the buckle like a regular belt..guess not.

No, the buckle isn't like a regular buckle it stays on the belt. The bar through the center of the buckle catches the two hooks on the wide end of the belt when you put it on.

Yup, it's the opposite of a regular belt.

The buckle mounts on the end with the three rolls of holes...you thread the belt through and pull the double hooks on the center bar through the holes that fit you; start in the middle of the holes.

That end goes on your left and the tongue points toward the holster.

The hooks on the fat end, hook unto the chrome center bar, the stud goes through on of the center-line holes. The hole on the fat end is for hanging your belt up on a wall/locker hook

I hate to laugh, but I struggle with that EVERY TIME I change my gear around. 26 years and I still cant get it right the first time. Good luck.

I'm happy someone else admits that too. Though it got better when we finally got to switch to synthetic my last year. At least they let us wear the black chrome buckles unless class A, so no polishing chrome everyday.

The nice thing about a nylon belt is that they are infinitely adjustable, the downside is that you can't get equipment all the way to the buckle (because of the doubled over ends)

Yeah I can't do the nylon too many cats. Hard enough to keep my Black pants and black turtle necks clean lol. I should have purchased stock in the lint roller.
