LA Co Probation accepting applications for Group Supervisor NIghts

    Hello Everyone

For those of you that missed the application cut off last time, Los Angeles County Probation Department just opened up applications for Group Supervisor Nights.

This is the lowest level peace officer position in the department. The starting pay is 35,000 a year and tops out at 44,000 after 4 years of service. This is a great position for those of you that may still be going to school. The position is working at one of our Juvenile Halls or Juvenile Camps from 10pm to 6am. You monitor and supervisor detained wards overnight. You may occasionally be held over on the 6 to 2 shift for overtime. The pay is not that great but it is a good start while you are finishing up your education. The hiring process is the same as the Deputy Probation Officer position that we have discussed in this thread:

The hiring requirements, hiring process and training Academy are the same as DSO and DPO I, except you only need a high school diploma for this position. If your ready to apply, just click here:

Good luck to you all. and just a reminder, This will probably only be open for three or four days so make sure you apply this weekend. It may be closed by Monday.

I received an email yesterday saying my application was accepted for the Work Styles Assessment written test! I'm extremely excited about that.

Congrats, that is the online test. It asseses your judgment and work habits. Remember that we are looking for folks that want to enforce the law and protect people. If you have some ethicql issues, you may have difficulty with this first exam. Sadly, something like 50% fail this exam. Its sad to think of where our society is going with these poor ethics and morals being taught today.

I took the assessment last night it was a bit difficult on the deductive reasoning but since I toke the practice test I was confident in my answers. Praying that I passed and hoping to move forward
