    FN303 launcher

Anyone have experience with this beast? I just got PLS certified hurt a little more than a paintball gun and didn't expect the powerder to be that effective.

FN303 cert is next. Researched it a bit didn't know it was that powerful and that actually fired rifled (stabilized) projectiles ;-)

For certifications do we get exposed to it? What type of damage other than what the projectile is loaded is the launcher capable of?

You shouldn't have to get exposed. The kinetic energy on those projectiles is several times that of the PLS due the the composition of the projectiles.

Not an LEO and no experience with the FN303 but I went and did some reading. You might find this interesting:

          and more importantly this:

Apparently the FN303 can be brutal. Boston PD has destroyed all of their FN303s because these devices are more lethal than they previously had thought.

It looks like it would be a lot of fun to play around with though.

No, As far as your dept requiring you to get his with a projectile from a 303 is not required..The only requirement was that you show the manual of arms and operate the 303..load.make ready and fire..nothing from FN requiring you take a hit..

Your department may make the rules as they see fit..but I see that as a lawsuit waiting to happen..
Shooting a dummy or wall in training is understandable..but live targets is not..

Haha thanks guys I guess the instructors were trying to scare us by telling us we were going to get exposed lol.

Said "we can't shoot you guys in the body... We might cause some internal damage". "We can't shoot you guys in the legs or arms... We might break some bones". Lol
Thanks anyways guys the FN303 is a beast of a tool
