Officer needs help

Fellow Calgunners and coppers...

A very dear friend, and fellow officer, was recently diagnosed with ALS. A friend at work started up a donation site to help him and his wife with expenses that will most likely arise during his struggle. We started with a goal of 10k and it looks like we are almost there. But I don't see the harm in trying to go above and beyond. There has been talk about him needing a van to transport his wheelchair in the future, so we are hoping this fund may help.

I am not an extremely active member here as far as posting, but I check the site daily and figured the Calguns community and LEOs here might want to donate. At the very least spread the word for a great man and kick-*** cop who could use some prayers.

I had the privilege of meeting Cory when he responded to a 459 res at my father in laws house. I don't know him personally, but he did a fantastic job and went well above and beyond to show my father in law courtesy and respect. From my contacts at his Dept. he IS a kick-*** cop and a good man to boot! I wish him well and will donate for sure!

I've heard the 1199 foundation has expanded their efforts and might cover some his costs, including the van. Hit them up and see what they can do.

I'm very sad to have to update you all. But our brother Cory passed away early on the morning of March 17th.
