Proforce ffl

Not exactly a Leo question but given that most of you have gone through proforce at one point or another I thought I'd bring the question to the Leo forum. I'm going to be ordering a garand from cmp and seeing as how the rules are going to change in regards to c&r guns I need to find a place for it to land. Has anyone used proforce for ffl transfers?

If you have recommendations of dealers who will do it for cheap in Orange County I'd appreciate the advice on that as well. Thank you in advance for your help.

Getting a 03FFL and COE will be cheaper in the long run and you can have it and the others that you will order (Once you get one, they seem to multiply) shipped to your door.

I agree with Trickster. If that doesn't interest you, try Riflegrear or OC Armory.

ProForce is very restrictive on who the do business with.

I can't see Proforce doing PPT. They're not that kind of FFL/gun store.

The 03 FFL is $35 and is good for three years. The COE runs about $100 for the initial issue, the $22 a year for renewal.

I will chime in here that ordering through CMP was a breeze once I got my documents together. I sent off the packet with the application and money order and other stuff they ask for. I got an email within 1 week that my order was being processed. It was about $760 for a service grade HRA and a can of ammo. Good luck beating that price anymore.

The plan is to get a cmp special grade with a new criterion barrel so I can have a "shooter." All we train with is glocks and AR's at our dept. thought it would be fun to train with something different. I'm gunna try and get my order in this month and try and avoid all the hassle of next year.

Copy red field thank you for the post. Not sure if there is time to order and receive but I was hoping if the order is processed by the end of the year and is effectively "purchased" in 2013. Then they could still ship it direct. Not sure if that will fly but I'm sure as hell am gunna give it a go.
